Getting Ahead / Staying Ahead
Write Your Future Story
Offered with support from the Volunteer Transportation Center, Getting Ahead is a 16-week workshop series that encourages individuals to investigate poverty in their own lives and in their community. The Getting Ahead material provides "investigators" with the tools and strategies for building resources and working toward a better quality of life. The local Getting Ahead graduate network is actively engaged in community level work.
Graduates remain in contact and meet regularly for Staying Ahead, which allows them to continue building social capital beyond graduation, make an impact in their community and achieve their future story! For more information about Getting Ahead, call (315) 782-8440 ext 240.
